Ladies VS Ricky Bahl (2011) Movie Review

Share
Yash Raj film is special for an endless passion for cinema. Good looking out beautifully style, a fine plot, smooth / foot tapping music, places visually stunning, loads of fun ... It has everything, well packaged to meet the desi sensibilities. Expectations, therefore, rise up when the team's triumphant BAND Baaja BAARAAT together for a slice image motion completely new - LADIES VS RICKY Bahl. The application highest on everyone's mind is, this dish will be the team to a higher valued far and a better entertainer for its customers this time too?

BAND Baaja BAARAAT was an outsider for Zilch expectations attached to it. He was the dark horse of 2010. But this time, there is hope, anticipation and of course, the humungous expectations.

Okay, so before starting to "crawl" LADIES VS RICKY Bahl, let's be clear some misconceptions. The rumor says that LADIES VS RICKY BAHL seeks inspiration from John Tucker Must Die [2006, Jesse Metcalfe]. Incidentally, the same was said about Yash Raj banner centered youth, the first company Y-Films' LUV KA THE END. We talk about the ladies VS RICKY BAHL also borrows another film, SPREAD [2009, Ashton Kutcher] and also the novel by Jeffrey Archer "Not a penny more, not a penny less." In the current circumstances, making a blatant rip off would be blasphemy [copyright issues read]. However, I should add, LADIES VS RICKY BAHL takes the same route as Yash Raj earlier success Bunty Aur Babli. In fact, there is no similarity between Bunty Aur Babli and LADIES VS RICKY Bahl, except that both have the angle con as wallpaper. But comparisons aside, it is a novel, contemporary tale [Story: Aditya Chopra].

Dimple [Parineeta Chopra], a brash Delhi girl falls in love with Sunny, a fitness trainer. Raina [Dipannita Sharma], an independent woman and successful companies in Mumbai, deals with an art dealer Deven. Saira [Aditi Sharma], a widow works hard to Lucknow, made a new friend, the shy Iqbal. Three different girls who get taken for a ride by three different men.

The problem is that it is actually one man - Ricky Bahl [Ranveer Singh], a suave and charming con man who takes pleasure in the game and not hunting money.

A chance meeting brings together the three women, who are committed to tracking down Ricky Bahl and recover their money. The next step is the actual plan. Enter Ishika [Anushka Sharma], a young and ambitious girl. The game takes place in Goa ...

If the promos give an indication that this is just another con film or a band extension Baaja BAARAAT, you're in for a thunderbolt. This is not true! What's common is LADIES VS RICKY BAHL also cleverly written characters and some truly engaging moments. While the first story [involving Parineeta] stands on the second floor [Dipannita] was normal, while the third [Aditi] is not as convincing.

LADIES VS RICKY BAHL is a film of today and the women here are not naar Abla who sit and cry, but seek revenge or at least get even with the offender. However, the scenario [Devika Bhagat] is unable to exploit the potential that gives the plot. This is because schemes that Anushka and her gang of girls use to get even with Ranveer appear absurd and extravagant at a time. Because the games played by girls are unreal as sensitive, even the youngest can not really enjoy this drama as a whole. In addition, the film dips in the post-interval portions and tends to get sluggish as well. Fortunately, the director ensures that the film is on track and round with a peak leaf.

Director Maneesh Sharma has managed a number of sequences carefully. The beginning [of the episode of Delhi] is the most enjoyable and the final parts are just as captivating. It is between the two oscillating between the ordinary and absorbent. Maneesh from Sharma, director of one of the best films of 2010, we expected a lot more meat in the procedure. Habib Faisal dialogue are incredibly spiritual, delicately woven with humor in the one-liners. Music composers Salim-Sulaiman and lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya join hands to create high-octane, energetic tracks. "Aadat Se Majboor" and "Jazba are vibrant, while 'The Thug', during the end credits, is distinguished by its choreography. Aseem Mishra cinematography is top notch.

LADIES VS RICKY projects BAHL Anushka in light immaculate, giving her an opportunity to see yet another facet of his character, which was previously not identified by the audience. Inspiring strong screen presence, Anushka enchants you with its natural elucidation of the character. Ranveer is the scene stealer here. He is charismatic, spontaneous and slips into her character with astonishing ease. He most certainly has the ability to go places if he chooses the films and made the right career moves accurate.

Parineeta Chopra springs a pleasant surprise. She has beautiful screen presence and acts freely. In fact, viewers take his character instantly. Dipannita Sharma takes his part with ease and grace, while Aditi Sharma is controlled, but natural at the base. The actor enacting the role of the father Parineeta is top notch.

Overall, LADIES VS RICKY BAHL is at best a decent price, which calls in the regions. The film begins well, ends well though. It is between the two is clear and plain. A doubt was expecting more of the director of the immense sympathy BAND Baaja BAARAAT. Ideally, the merits of the film two and a half stars, but that extra half star is Ranveer and Anushka, who will steal your heart with performance really striking.
